Insurance and Billing
At our hospital, we believe that every person should have access to high-quality care and that finances should not be a barrier to receiving this care. To that end, regardless of your insurance situation, we will work together with you to help you get the care you need at KF-SYSCC.
If you have Taiwan's National Health Insurance (NHI):
This is most convenient for both patient and provider. Generally speaking, you are eligible for NHI if you are a citizen or legal resident of Taiwan. Once enrolled, you will receive a Health Insurance IC Card that has an embedded chip to store your medical records. This IC card must be presented at all your medical-related activities, whether you are going to see a doctor or picking up a prescription. If you have this card, you simply need to bring it with you to our hospital and pay a co-payment fee based on the type of visit. For more information, please visit the NHI website at http://www.nhi.gov.tw/English/.
If you do not have Taiwan's National Health Insurance (NHI):
At this time, we do not offer direct billing to your insurance company, but hope to be able to in the future. We request that you first pay your invoice in full to our hospital and then apply for reimbursement through your insurance plan. Please retain your receipts for this purpose. If you happen to lose the original, we are happy to provide you with a copy, but will have to mark it as a duplicate. We will guide you through the reimbursement process and provide any information that you may need. To avoid any potential confusion or problems, unless you wish to pay out-of-pocket, we advise you to confirm that your insurance plan provides coverage for the medical fees incurred at our hospital.
