Tumor Tissue Bank

Genomic research has grown increasingly critical in healthcare, with far-reaching implications on everything from disease etiology to drug therapies. At the inception of our hospital in 1990, we believed this area of research would become essential to medical progress and began to collect frozen tissue and blood samples from patients. In an era where genomics is indispensable, our tumor tissue bank now serves as an invaluable source of knowledge and makes possible a wide range of innovative studies. We are excited to have such a large database of samples, where a high proportion can be linked to clinical data. This intersection of clinical and genomic information will allow for greater insights than either resource alone. Through our studies, we hope to generate findings of particular salience to Asian populations, as well as advance the global community's understanding of cancer. We look forward to the ways our tumor tissue bank will be used to transform and enhance the fight against cancer.
