Featured in Harvard Business School Case Study

The Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center had the honor of being featured in a 2009 Harvard Business School case study led by Michael E. Porter, the Bishop William Lawrence University Professor. Detailed account of Taiwan's healthcare system, breast cancer care, and KF-SYSCC's care delivery model for breast cancer care is discussed for further study and analysis. It provides a lens into the hurdles and benefits of bundled reimbursement, integrated team-based care delivery, and quality measurement. KF-SYSCC joins other premier institutions similarly featured for their work and advancements in health care, including the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Partners in Health, and the Cleveland Clinic. KF-SYSCC has been accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI) since 2007 and was reaccredited in 2010 and 2014.
